Update 0.44.0
Hello everyone.
While I continue working on the next zone, I’ve prepared a small update dedicated to the Lunar New Year and a number of QoL improvements. Below are the most notable changes.
A new outfit for Ealish has been added in celebration of the Lunar New Year.
Originally, a more complex costume with a new hairstyle and additional details was planned. However, due to unforeseen technical difficulties, we were unable to complete it in time. The full version of the outfit will most likely be added in the next update.
As a small bonus, a themed swimsuit with Asian-inspired elements has been added to the game.
The magazine related to this outfit can be found in Room 104 on the Residential Floor.

A new wakizashi-inspired knife has also been added in celebration of the holiday. It can be obtained in the Gallery Storage on the Residential Floor as a reward for completing the level.
In one of the previous updates, a character level (displayed as a number in the corner of the screen) was added. Previously, it did not affect gameplay, but it now determines the maximum amount of health and energy. As a result, item restoration values and zombie damage have been adjusted. The system remains fairly compact and is intended to add some variety to the gameplay.
A new parameter for knives has also been added — “Ease of Use.” It determines the amount of energy consumed when attacking with a specific weapon. Lighter knives consume less energy, while heavier ones consume more.
The Statistics tab has been updated. This is mainly preparation for future Steam achievements support. The achievements themselves and their integration still require additional work. The first achievements are expected to be added in 1–2 upcoming updates.
Important: When loading an old save file, statistics will be reset.
To restore the counters, you need to move clothing items and plush toys to storage, and then take them back into your inventory.
Posters cannot be restored at this time, as they will most likely be replaced with a different collectible item in the future.
The maximum stack size for items of the same type has been increased. For materials required to craft outfits, the limit has been raised from 99 to 999. For recovery items, it has been increased from 20 to 99. This will help keep the inventory more organized.
Character rotation during movement has been improved. Ealish now turns more smoothly, both when following the camera and when rotating in the direction of movement.
The screen resolution option in the “Graphics” section has been changed. It now displays a fixed list of supported resolutions. Previously, the list was generated automatically based on the player’s primary monitor (if multiple monitors were connected), which in some cases led to incorrect resolution options being shown. For example, if the game was launched on one monitor and then moved to another, the resolution list could become inaccurate, making it difficult to select the desired setting. This is an experimental solution, and I will monitor it in case any issues arise.
An option to adjust camera height has also been added to the game settings. Now, when Ealish wears high-heeled shoes, not only does her height change, but the camera position adjusts as well. This prevents situations where the top of her head could partially move out of frame.
A character wetness effect has been added. If Ealish stays in motion for an extended period without rest, she will begin to sweat and gradually become wet. This effect is also now used at the beginning of the game during the scene where Ealish exits the incubator.
The character’s jiggle physics have been improved. This effect was introduced in a previous update, but its intensity was limited due to issues with dynamic clothing such as skirts. In this update, the effect has been enhanced, and the clipping issues with dynamic clothing have been resolved.
Ealish can now look at and follow the player’s camera when it is within her field of view.
A filtering option has been added to the Journal window. When the number of entries becomes large, you can display only the entries for the current zone using the corresponding button (see the hint at the bottom of the screen). This also makes it easier to identify which zone a missing entry belongs to.

[/carousel]Fixed an issue where a key story item could be lost if the inventory was full. Now, if Ealish cannot pick up a story item due to a full inventory, the dialogue or action associated with obtaining it will be triggered again.
Gamepad button prompts have been added to the hint panel at the bottom of the screen. Previously, when interacting with objects such as keypads, only text was displayed without specific button indicators. The correct controller buttons are now shown properly.
Fixed an issue with the flashlight when the character disappeared due to the camera being too close. Previously, if the camera was pushed against a wall and Ealish was forced too close to it, the character would temporarily disappear to avoid blocking the view, but the flashlight light would also disappear, leaving the player in darkness. The flashlight now remains active, allowing continued exploration.
Various minor issues have also been fixed, including swimsuit skinning, the item description popup when opening the inventory, and other small bugs.
In future updates, I plan to add a lightweight quest-like system to make it easier for players to understand their current objectives — especially if something feels unclear or if you’re returning to the game after a long break. The system is currently planned to be implemented as personal notes from Ealish to herself.
I’d also like to address the frequent question about the new zone. The current plan is to complete it by the end of April. Alongside that update, I plan to add new outfits for Ealish, as well as at least one new hairstyle, allowing players to change her hairstyle during the game.
Thank you very much for supporting Lunar Eclipse. It truly means a lot to me and allows the project to continue growing.
See you in the next updates. Don’t forget to join the Discord channel if you’d like to ask a question or report a bug.
And once again — happy holidays. Take care of yourselves and your loved ones.
