Upcoming change in price

Hello everyone,

I'm writing a quick post to let you know that I am going to change the price of this visual novel from $0.00 to $9.99 next week. I had every intention of keeping this visual novel free, as it is a passion project of mine and I want to share it with as many people as possible, but that no longer seems like a sensible option.

This VN isn't very popular, so hasn't received many legitimate reviews from people who actually read it, and it has also received several negative reviews from people who obviously didn't read it that are insultingly rude and homophobic.

Clearly, there are people who trawl through free LGBT games on Steam and they download them solely to leave negative reviews spreading hateful rhetoric, and it's very sad to see this happen to a story I care so much about.

If this VN were more popular and had received more legit reviews from people who actually read it, it would balance out these bad actors and it wouldn't have so much of an impact. However, this VN is not popular, and it has received very few legitimate reviews, so these bad faith negative reviews from people with 10 minutes of playtime have tanked the review score of the VN.

I don't want to let people insult a project I care about so much, so now, if anybody wants to leave me a hateful homophobic review, they can now pay me $10 for the privilege.

I'm sorry if this causes anybody any inconvenience. If you want to read the visual novel then you can download it for free over the weekend, as it will remain in your Steam library and you will still be able to access it even after the price changes. If you wait until next week, however, you will have to pay $9.99 if you want to read it.

On a happier note, I am still working on episode 5 of this visual novel, which will be released as paid DLC, and it will be $4.99. I'm still getting art assets for the fifth episode, but as soon as I receive all the art, I'll start coding it. Here's a look at one of the CGs!

I hope you're looking forward to it. Thank you for your support. I will finish this visual novel no matter what, no matter how unpopular it might be or how many negative reviews it receives, so please bear with me while I keep chipping on it! The full VN will be eight episodes long, so I'm already halfway through!
