Development Update 06.02.2026

Hello everyone, welcome to this week's progress report.

Level: 
Our work on blocking out the major locations is concluded, and the meshes have moved on to full production. We are now reviewing and polishing quest locations. This week, we started fixing several cave entrances on the world map and rebuilding the mountain peak. Our 3D artists also worked on interactive map objects such as chests and door mechanisms. We are making good progress on the creation of the final foliage models that will populate the world, as well.


Code:This week, we improved the grappling hook feature, implementing proper animations, better telegraphs, we moved the input to G, and the grappling hook can be used without needing to aim.
We also implemented a file manager screen to certain interacts to look at in-lore log files and holographic recordings.




Character:
We completed the Shey outfit implementation with rigging and engine integration. We also finished implementing the texture-animated Jellybomb and Jellybaby meshes and they are now ready to be placed in the world by the design team.


Animations: 
In the animation department, work on more varied finishers continues. We are also still making sandbox scenes here or there whenever time allows :)

Design:In the quest department, we started implementing the overhaul of the Max x Kira quest. The quest is now centered more around her house instead of sending you away to the Warrior Village, and you will meet some of her other servants, as well.
Further, we implemented all holographic scenes, including dialogs, and continued working on Pearl Village dialogs and bugfixing quests.
We also worked on NPC AI bugfixing and the design of some small missing features for quests and dialogs (e.g. NPCs take player prisoner).
