We previously discussed three of the main species that will feature in ACTC.

While the realms are home to many species, two more will feature prominently in ACTC.


Merpeople live underwater. They typically have large fish-like tails and appear human from the waist up.

When on land, they can shift their bottom half and use human legs.

They are naturally an emotional species and try to avoid conflict. Their siren songs can enchant less powerful beings, making them very dangerous.

Their lifespan is similar to that of a human.


Witches are an ambitious species. Most reside in Pythonium, but many of their population make their home in other realms.

Physically, they look the same as humans. The main difference is their magical abilities. Witches specialise in various fields of magic. They are most well-renowned for their unique understanding of ancient spells and curses.

Having always shared a realm with demons who have heavily oppressed them, they have a bitter rivalry with one another.

Their lifespan varies drastically. Those with lesser magical talent live around as long as humans do. For powerful witches or those who have used spells to prolong their lives, they can live for thousands of years.
