C CUP Update

As of Friday 21th, Nov. 2025 the C Cup is set as the main branch for everyone to play.

In the future please submit all observations, suggestions and issues on the game's Discord server in the channels with "ultimate" in their name as they will be addressed for the Ultimate Edition relaunch of the game.

Hello everyone.

Due to recent developments beyond my control I am required to put out yet another update for the first release and so this will be the cup to end all cups. Last few years I found myself on a sinking ship; the situation there drained me financially, mentally and emotionally, it was also killing the game so I had to make a decision...

My decision was not to give up and let the game die like all the other games on board. So here we are...

The C-Cup was meant to come out years ago but it got delayed. During it's development I decided that the game needs an overhaul and not just indefinite updates so eventually it morphed into the Ultimate Edition which is what we will focus on moving forward. But before that I wanted to leave some closure behind on the 2020 release.

This is more of an administrative patch but since there were still a few issues lingering I figured I will address those as well. Unfortunately this will affect save games in the "For Your Safety", "Bot Camp", "Dragon Girl" and "Off World", chapters. Starting a new game after this update is recommended.

I don't intend to release any more patches or updates for the 2020 release unless absolutely necessary. Moving forward everything will be addressed in the G-String: Ultimate Edition.

FIXES

  • Fixed some missing textures in human_waste3.

  • Fixed subtitles not applying properly in dragon_girl.

  • Fixed a zoom related bug at the start of hazardous_ai6.

  • Fixed a telekinesis related bug at the start of the "Off World" chapter.

  • Custom HUD color selection is now remembered.

  • Fixed a texture error on Yorgos.

  • Edited the intro video.

  • Fixed Chinese captions.

  • Removed Sentry crash report collection.

  • Compressed many textures to avoid memory overflow related crashes as much as possible on the current 32-bit build. (This will be entirely solved for the Ultimate Edition).

Remaining issues (all of which will be addressed in the Ultimate Edition)

  • Zoom can misbehave. During normal gameplay this shouldn't be an issue, but if certain maps are loaded from the console it can happen due to how the scripts are handled. The only way to remedy this is to load the previous map and then go through the level connection as intended.

  • The custom VGUI elements such as the custom HUD color and custom FX selection are not perfect but they shouldn't cause any game breaking issues.

  • The first Space Race level is darker than it should be. This won't affect gameplay but if it stands out and feels off know that it is on the list of things that will be fixed for the relaunch.

  • Very few players experienced a crash after the intro sequence plays when the game starts. Right now the best thing to do is to type "map lab_rat1" into the console. This will load up the next level that would be triggered otherwise anyway and it won't affect save games or gameplay down the line.

  • Memory overflow related crashes. Since many normal maps have been decreased in size the likelihood of this occurring is much lower now. It is worth noting that few people experienced these crashes even before this update.

  • Arabic translations are implemented but currently can only be called by entering "cc_lang arabic" in the console.
