Knight Ariand Werner-Rolan is a soldier of the Lionel Holy Knight Order, the military force of the Holy Kingdom of Ashuran, and is the most trusted subordinate of Sir Jeremy. She wields the Knight Sword Ragnaelic, a bastard sword symbolizing knighthood which is granted to each knight upon investiture.

​A close companion of Princess Millie since a young age, Aria swore to always protect her from harm at all costs. She has trained hard every day in order to acquire the strength to protect the Princess, ultimately deciding to become a Knight.

She enjoys menial tasks unbefitting a Knight such as domestic chores, sewing, and gardening, and she is perhaps even more skilled in these than in swordplay. This great skill allowed her to grow a perfect Barcufen Rose, the Princess' favorite flower. Knight Rolan gifted the rose to Princess Millie on her birthday and it became the symbol of their promise.

When Sir Jeremy is injured, she is forced to question her own future as a Knight of the Princess.



Crowned Princess Mirielle Philomena Druwa Sigmund Ashuran, daughter of Sigmund XIII of Ashuran and Queen Abraham and first in line to the throne. She's a bashful woman who enjoys quiet but is instead forced to participate in the many quarrels of the royal court. She lives in the royal capital, although she also sojourns in the Sylvantie Castle where she was born.

The Princess is very close friends with Knight Aria and Sir Jeremy, who are both attached to the Knight Order tasked with defending the northeastern part of the kingdom. She possesses the nobility to rule as well as the kindness to be a true woman of faith, but she's also a daydreamer, a trait easy to discern oftentimes from her absent-minded gaze.

While she is betrothed to the War Priest, Lord Raeus, his warped personality has prevented any sort of romance from ever blossoming between them. Instead, she has developed feelings for Sir Jeremy, and when she heard of his wounds, she rode as the wind for Sylvantie Castle. But he will only take advantage of that budding love, and her Shamanic blood, in order to achieve his treacherous goals.



A devout Ashurisia knight in the prime of his life, Lord Weldien Grif-Jeremy has risen through the ranks to become the Commander of the Lionel Holy Knight Order, the divine guardians of the Holy Kingdom of Ashuran who protect the north-eastern province.

A certain incident leads him to despair at the predestined calamity that befalls him. Ultimately, though, he refuses to bend to the will of fate, and sets out to change his destiny even while knowing he runs the risk of losing everything.
